Senior Man Swims What To Do Immediately After A Sports Injury
Swiftly obtain a diagnosis by scheduling the next available physio appointment. If bearing weight on the injury is painful, refrain from doing so.
Use ice with a covering for pain relief, but discontinue if it worsens. Depending on the injury, a compression bandage may be recommended, provided by your physio. You might also be taped up, prescribed a splint, sling, or crutches. Your physio will determine the necessity of X-rays or other investigations.
