OPED VACOpedes – Vacuum Orthosis for Forefoot Support and Pressure Relief

The OPED VACOpedes is an innovative forefoot orthosis designed to provide targeted pressure relief and immobilisation while maintaining full ankle mobility. Its patented vacuum technology delivers a customised fit and high stability, making it suitable for the treatment and rehabilitation of a range of forefoot and toe conditions.

The integrated vacuum cushion moulds closely to the individual anatomy, providing consistent support while accommodating changes in swelling or atrophy. A simple pump removes air from the cushion, causing it to become firm and provide cast-like stability. Releasing the vacuum softens the cushion, allowing the orthosis to be easily readjusted.

The rocker sole promotes even pressure distribution and supports a safe, more physiological walking pattern during recovery.

Vacuum Technology for a Customised Fit

OPED’s patented vacuum technology provides a modern alternative to traditional plaster casting. Thousands of small styrofoam beads within the cushion mould around the injured area. When air is removed using the pump, the cushion becomes firm and provides stable, customised support. Releasing the vacuum allows the cushion to soften for easy repositioning and adjustment.
